We frequently use video at Wild Oscar for a variety of reasons. Often, we are filming in the wild and have little control over the environment. Sometimes, the story changes after you get your footage. I can imagine several scenarios where adding a few extra frames to a clip can make a big difference in pace and timing.

I have used some clips from past projects to try out the new frame generator available in Premiere Pro Beta. Now, these clips may not be ideal subjects, as Adobe demonstrates the tech with studio produced clips; little camera motion, scenes that aren’t too busy.

You can spot where the AI kicks in on each clip. I added about 2 seconds to each, as that is the maximum allowed by the software right now. While the current output is not client worthy, I am optimistic for this AI tech to be very effective as it evolves (and as I learn what to reasonably expect from it).

I also tried it with some 3D animations WO created with similar results. That video is proprietary, so I won’t share it.

Next we will be looking at some of the new 3D Model import and integration AI in various Adobe products.
